Ioan Nemțoi, one of the most appreciated Romanian creators, both for his unlimited fantasy, as for his impeccable technique, is exhibiting, since May 24th and up to October 6th, 61 glass sculptures at Museu Nacional dos Coches (the national coach Museum). Ioan Nemțoi was born on January 14th, 1964 in Trusesti, district of Botosani (Romania), and graduated in 1991 by the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest, specializing in ceramics, glass and Metal. The echo of his success quickly surpassed the borders of Romania and in 1991 the artist was already present at the International Glass Exhibition of Kanazawa in Japan. Followed after by Norway, France, Sweden, Denmark and many other countries, for a total of more than 40 exhibitions. The year 2003 marked the presence of the artist at the Cotroceni Palace medieval spaces (Romania) with the exhibition Water and Fire, followed by the World Trade Center Rotterdam and at the World Trade Center Amsterdam. In 2002, his work A Última Ceia (The last supper) was donated to the Vatican by the Romanian State. His works are part of famous collections that belong to King Harald of Denmark, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, Kofi Annan or her Majesty Margarita, guardian of the Crown of Romania. Ioan Nemtoi’s works can also be seen at the Vatican Museum, at Kunst Palast in Düsseldorf, at UNICEF’s headquarters in New York, at McLarren Technology in the United Kingdom, at the Waterland Neeltje Jans Museum in the Netherlands, at the White House in Washington, or in famous galleries from various countries.
