The second edition of Sons no Património (Heritage sounds) will take place between 26th and 29th September, in the metropolitan area of Porto (AMP), and comprises 17 free concerts and different musical genres, happening in the 17 municipalities of the AMP. Gisela João, Manuel Linhares, Ademola, António Chaínho Trio, Rui Massena, O gajo, among many others, are some of the artists who will be part of the event. Museums, squares, churches, markets, railway stations and other symbolic spaces of our common heritage will transform themselves under the effect of music, to provide new experiences to those who have always known them and to those who will discover them. This event’s new edition, first materialized in 2018, came out from AMP’s will in valuing the heritage of its 17 municipalities. Supporting recent bets in culture, such as the creation of PIN platform and the availability of Cultural heritage Maps and AMP’s Material and Intangible Cultural heritage map. The first concert takes place on September 26th at 05.30pm, in the gardens of Marta Ortigão Sampaio House Museum in Porto, and the performance will be under the responsibility of the singer and songwriter Jack Broadbent. On the same day, there will also be concerts in Arouca and Santo Tirso. On September 29th, António Chaínho Trio will perform, at 05.30pm, at Casa Teixeira Lopes Museum in Vila Nova de Gaia, and even though Jack Broadbent will be performing once again, this time it will happen in Matosinhos. In between, there will be other performances such as Gisela João, on the 26th, in Póvoa de Varzim, or Rui Massena, on the 28th, in Maia.
