Aiming to explain the influence of decanters on wine tasting quality,  the market leader Schott Zwiesel – a German company specialized in glasses that has become the hallmark not only for those who work in the HORECA sector (acronym for hotels, restaurants and cafes) but also for those that deal with wines – will organize an innovative decanter wine tasting that will reveal how the shape and size of these different objects, as well as the use of some accessories, such as the funnel, can make all the difference in wine experiencing. The event, which will take place on 28th of October, from 4.00 to 6.00 pm, in Auditorium III – Vinc by Cork Supply of PT Meeting Centre at FIL, in Parque das Nações, within the Evento Grandes Escolhas (Great choices event), will be guided by the sommelier Luís Pedro Cambra, from Largo do Paço (1 * Michelin), from Casa da Calçada, in Amarante, who will demonstrate how the various shapes of decanters can generate different sensations in wine tasting. During the initiative, Professor Manuel Maldo Ferreira, from Instituto Superior de Agronomia, will be present. He will explain the oximetry evaluation method - a device that measures the amount of oxygen in each decanter-and the Journalist and wine critic, Maria João de Almeida, will moderate the conversation.
