Fashion designer Fátima Lopes presented her new autumn
and winter 2023/2024 collection at the Palácio Nacional de Queluz, taking the
opportunity to pay homage to Simone de Oliveira and Ruy de Carvalho, two key
figures of Portuguese culture. Inspired by Portuguese art, the presentation of Alma
D’arte took place in the Throne and Music Rooms, making it the first time
that the palace had hosted a fashion event. Around 500 guests, including public
figures, applauded the collection, which was characterised by different
artistic expressions and the elegance of different types of cut and fabric. At
the end, Simone was heard to sing part of Desfolhada, and singer Dulce
Pontes performed.
