Located in Bridgehampton, New York, close to the shore of Long Island, Bridgehampton House is the result of a major renovation and reconstruction of a house built in the 1980s. The architectural design has been produced by Specht Architects, a company whose main purpose is to create elegant, comfortable and timeless buildings, perfectly connected to the surrounding landscape and reflecting the personality of the people who inhabit them. Despite being a small architectural firm, it is among the world’s top 100 architectural firms, according to New York Magazine, and has been named one of the «50 Emerging Companies Worldwide» by Wallpaper magazine. In addition to the numerous awards that Specht Architects has garnered, some of its projects, whether residential, commercial, or institutional, have been featured in more than 100 publications worldwide.

Bridgehampton House is the result of a major renovation of a house built in the 1980s.

The architecture firm has endowed Bridgehampton House with large glass windows to enable sweeping views of the magnificent surrounding landscape, including the outdoor swimming pool and garden, and to enable natural light to invade the interior, making it the focus of the whole décor. Both outside and inside, simple and durable raw materials, such as plywood, bleached cedar and treated cedar, have been used. In fact, the entire decoration, where light colours predominate, with some darker contrasting notes, is based on the use of wood of various hues, which brings comfort and harmony to the spaces and complements the stunning architecture of this renovated coastal home.

Large windows allow natural light to invade the interior, making it the focus of the whole décor.
