An equestrian spirit. The leather belt is reflected in the buckle of a gentleman galloping into action. The repurposed stirrup adds a touch of elegance as a decorative silhouette. The first interchangeable buckle was designed by fashion designer Catherine Karoly in 1967. It was such a success that people were queuing in front of the Faubourg shop. Such was its popularity that the salespeople ended up baptising it with the name of the drawer in which it was stored: Drawer No. 5382. Since then, there have been countless reinterpretations of the famous H buckle. The belt buckle is in permabrass plated metal, and is a contemporary reinterpretation of a stirrup, with a 38 mm wide reversible Epsom calf leather strap. This item belongs to the collection of customisable belts.
