Perpetuating a traditional aesthetic signature, but projecting it in the contemporary spirit, the new watches of the Luminor Due family of Panerai, are innovative and acquire a more pronounced ‘identity’. On the one hand, they present themselves as the three new models that share the brushed titanium of the case and the blue satiné soleil finish of the dial. On the other hand, there are three updated models, which embody a coherent set of style and versatility. All of them are fit with mechanical manufacture movements and quickly changeable straps. When it comes to materials, a Luminor Due 38 mm (PAM00926) is presented, for the first time, in titanium. As for combinations, Luminor Due – 42 mm (PAM00927) is the first model of its size that combines a titanium case with an automatic mechanical movement. As far as functions are concerned, the Luminor Due GMT Power Reserve – 45 mm (PAM000964) is Panerai's first 45 mm watch and has a replaceable strap with the quick release system. The perpetual pursuit of perfection is also reflected in the careful refinement of the Luminor Due movement. The manufacturing movement is strictly mechanical, but from now on it will be exclusively automatic winding. This requirement is dictated by practical considerations, the need to reconcile the physical and aesthetic design of the timepiece with the challenge of dimensions, the main characteristic of the collection.
