Presented for the first time in September 2018, at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the 26XP Explorer is a yacht made by renowned Turkish shipbuilders Numarine. The Numarine 26XP has been designed by long-time collaborator Can Yalman, while Umberto Tagliavini, whose partnership with the shipyard is also long, did the naval architecture. The visual aspect of the 26XP is modern, even futuristic, due to the angled windows and a vertical bow. In terms of comfort, an essential requirement for Numarine, this yacht features the work of Silent Line, which eliminated or reduced as much as possible any sources of noise and vibration. This company is a partner of the shipyard and a specialist in noise and vibration in luxury yachts, commercial vessels and industrial and architectural projects. This advanced technology is typically applied to much larger mega-yachts of over 80 m length.

The 26XP is a compact super yacht. It can be built with two types of hull: semi-planing or displacement. With a sophisticated layout, accommodation is provided for up to eight guests, divided into four cabins on the lower deck, including the master cabin and two VIP cabins, while the crew quarters allow for a crew of up to three people. The interior includes a large main saloon with windows reaching the ceiling that flood the interior with natural light, while the expansive 16-metre flybridge, covering about two-thirds of the hull’s length, has been equipped with an outdoor lounge and a dining table, and with enough space to store a five and a half metre tender.

In the displacement hull version, the 26XP reaches a top speed of 13.5 knots and a cruising speed of 9 knots. In the semi-planing version, powered by two 1,200 HP MAN diesel engines, it can reach a top speed of 22 knots and has a cruising speed of 18 knots. Numarine is beginning to build its hulls in advance to reduce delivery times by up to four months. In addition to offering the flexibility to choose the shape of the hull, Omer Malaz, the Turkish shipyard’s CEO, assures that this is one of the reasons for the speed with which 26XP yachts are selling.
With many similarities to the other models of the Explorer series, such as the 32XP, the Numarine 26XP however offers the advantage of reaching and docking in narrower and more remote places, so that comfort, power and luxury combine with the possibility to explore any place.
