Sponsored by Kaspersky Lab, and driving the vehicle Envision Virgin, the 18 year-old Al Qubaisi is the first female pilot of Arabian origin, having competed in the Ad Diriyah racing track, along with the most important racers of the moment, right after the racing start of the fifth season of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. This event becomes even more attractive for its legislation, which allows women to drive inside their own country, introduced in 2018.
Born in the United Arab Emirates and being pilot Khaled Al Qubaisi’s daughter, Amna took up karting at the age of 13. Kaspersky Lab decided to sponsor Amna and, since then, she has competed in formula 4, for the Prema Theodore racing team. Highlighting the change of mentalities and becoming an inspiration for other women, Al Qubaisi is the leader of a team which includes other female pilots of Arabian origin such as Tatiana Calderón, Carmen Jordá, Beitske Visser, Katherine Legge and Simona de Silvestro. She’s the youngest of the competition and she hopes that her career may help her break the prejudice of women becoming female pilots and help her reach higher levels in the car racing world.
