The initiative Sente a História which is conducting 30 concerts in 30 historical sites of the Alto Minho, involving more than 1500 musicians and 10 counties, will have its 25th concert and this time the event will go on a journey from the Baroque music to the contemporary, in the beautiful Minho location of Vila Praia de Âncora. A band with 60 musicians, a soprano and five conductors, one of which Portuguese and the remaining four Spanish, will carry out a show this Saturday May 25th at 10:00 pm, in the parish church of that town. The Music band of Casa do Povo de Moreira de Lima, accompanied by the soprano Silvia Sanchez and under the baton of Manuel Monteiro (conductor holder) and Jose Luis Santiago Tielas, David Trastoy, Jose Castro Alvarez and Francisco Abal Rosales (Spanish conductors guests), will play music from the Baroque, with the alvor's Ave Maria by Giulio Caccini, passing through the romantic period, with Giacomo Puccini, to the present day, with musical works of José Alberto Pina, Jef Penders, Dmitri Shostakovich, Enio Morricone or Carlos Marques. The initiative Sente a História comprises three lines of programming (soloists of Philharmonic bands, choirs and youth of the Alto Minho in the context of Chamber music), as well as it allows a living experience of history, where you will find music gathering the architecture of the monuments.
