The opening session of the Biennial Ci.CLO ' 19 takes place on May 16, with a pedestrian path in the gardens of Palácio de Cristal, in Porto. Not only Virgilio Ferreira, the curator of the exhibition Adaptation and Transition will be present at the event held in the gardens of the Crystal Palace but also all the artists represented in this exhibition: Claudius Kings, Constanze Flamme, Diogo Benedict, Jayne Dyer, John, Lisa Hoffmann, Maria Oliveira, Rita Castro Neves & Daniel Moreira and Sérgio Leitão. The Ci.CLO is an independent structure of research and creation in the field of photography, and its interaction with other artistic, social and environmental areas and Ci.CLO Bienal Fotografia do Porto (Porto's Biennial photography) is a platform of creation, debate and reflection; a Ci.CLO that celebrates the artistic practice and is renewed every two years. The program includes a nuclear exhibition circuit and satellite projects in different cultural spaces, offering the public a pedestrian path along several spots of Porto’s historical centre. Each year, the biennial brings together a group of curators, artists, researchers and technicians, that come together with the team of Ci.CLO. In this Edition, which ends on July 2, there will be 11 16 53 artists, curators, exhibition spaces, eight workshops, a symposium, a publication and various events.
