Ennio Morricone in Lisbon

Scheduled for May 6, at Altice Arena in Lisbon, the Italian composer Ennio Morricone’s concert is part of his farewell tour and tickets are almost sold out. Morricone will conduct, on stage, an orchestra and choir with more than 200 people, who will perform some of his most outstanding works, such as those he composed for films like «Once upon a time in the West», «the good, the bad and the ugly», or «once upon a time in America». Throughout his career, he was responsible for the composition and arrangement of more than 500 film soundtracks and television shows. Ennio Morricone won five BAFTA awards between 1979 and 1992 and was named by the Academy of Hollywood for five Academy Awards for Best Original Soundtrack between 1979 and 2001, winning, in fact, in 2016, the Oscar for the soundtrack of the «Hateful eight» from Director Quentin Tarantino, who also won a Golden Globe.
At this concert in Portugal, as well as in all of this tour, a famous Portuguese singer, Dulce Pontes, will also be on stage. This singer has collaborated with the composer several times.
