The Israeli chain Fattal Hotel Group bought Corpus Christi, a former convent located in Baixa de Lisboa (Lisbon’s downtown), more specifically in Rua dos Fanqueiros, and will now turn it into a luxury hotel. The hotel, which will operate under Leonardo Royal Hotels brand, will be the company's first unit in Portugal, which already has more than 200 hotels in 18 countries, a total of 180 units in Europe. Shay Raz, the managing director of Leonardo Hotels for Spain and Portugal, is pleased with the project in Lisbon, «a city with enormous possibilities», he said.
