Under the motto «Quem disse que a alfaiataria tem de ser chata?» («who said tailoring has to be boring?»), Miguel Vieira made a presentation of his proposals for the summer of 2020, a few days ago in Milan, taking into account the official calendar of Milano Moda Uomo. Using astonishing colours such as green Mint, oil and emerald, cameo pink, beige, night-blue, and Tawny Port in textile materials such as silk, wool and mercerised cotton, he creates colourful classic and formal silhouettes, as well as other ones which are more daring, proving that although timeless, tailoring can be reinvented in order to tell us new stories. The idealized scenario refers to Mies van der Rohe, considered one of the leading names of the 20th century architecture. With simple, functional lines and details brought by contemporary elements, the perfect symbiosis between matter and nature is wonderfully created, evoking a certain film’s aura. Thus, a collection that remains faithful to the classics, but with a new twist, a new boldness, signed by the Portuguese renowned Artist.
