The Bavarian brand presented its Vision M Next at Frankfurt Auto Show, and left some hints about what may be part of the model and will be replacing BMW’s i8. In fact, BMW Vision M Next is still a prototype of a sports car concept. It shows, however, a great potential and will not divert from the succeeding i8 model. In addition to being a 600 horsepower hybrid, Vision M Next will get inspiration from other great German brand icons, such as the mythical M1. While the exterior seeks to evolve some of the master beams of design, in the passenger compartment the total absence of physical controls stands out, in a markedly technological atmosphere in which nothing is more important than the road where the driver will spend a good time while driving. Although the brand has not revealed Motorization details, it has confirmed 600 HP, which means a jump of more than 200 HP compared to the 374 HP of the current i8. In addition, the brand promises even more power through a Boost + system. This hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just three seconds, while the maximum speed will be at 300 km/h. BMW guarantees an electrical autonomy of 100 km, enough to a smooth driving away from pollution emissions in large urban areas.
