Moschino’s spring/summer 2023 menswear collection is a tribute to the iconic work – and iconoclastic approach – of late artist Tony Viramontes, an animated chameleon, daubed in bright colours. He was a fashion illustrator, photographer and a visionary whose discipline united the worlds of haute couture and celebrity. Capturing the bold aesthetic of his era through pen and lens. Now, creative director Jeremy Scott has revisited that exceptional treasure trove. Face magazine and the Buffalo tyle movement of the 80s were also inspiration. Abstract visages, bright colours, doodles and expressive strokes cover the Moschino signature along with new silhouettes that play with length and height.
